SingFix Masterclasses
Whether you're preparing for an audition or keen to try out new rep, our SingFix and SingFix Pro masterclasses are the perfect place to explore and develop in a warm, supportive environment. Bring a song you're working on and sing in front of a friendly group of fellow vocalists, with expert coaching from West End vocal professionals Kate Batter and Emma Cremnitz. Each masterclass will have a bonus technique focus from belting to supporting the high notes, exploring vocal registers and working on a singers 'mix'.
This is a space for all to feel free to explore, step out of the safety zones, make mistakes without judgement, build confidence and connect within your singing community.
About SingFix
Hi, welcome to SingFix and SingFix Pro!
Emma and I first met 20 years ago working as teachers for Stagecoach in London. We were both recent graduates, navigating our way through the precarious world of auditions. In our lunch breaks, we would often read in for one another as we prepared for an upcoming casting, suggest material and in general, just wave the flag of support for one another. A much needed support in an otherwise cut-throat environment!
During the early years working together, we both took time away from teaching to take on acting jobs both on tour and in London's West End but we always kept in touch and shared similar values about vocal coaching and our passion for teaching always remained.
Now, 20 years on, with young families, thriving vocal coaching businesses and as Sing Space choir leaders, we are collaborating once more to provide a service we wish we'd had when we were auditioning - a safe and supportive space to share our songs, glean technique and advise from industry professionals and belong to a community of like minded fellow performers wanting to encourage and empower one another.
We offer in-person masterclasses in London and Cambridge plus online options for those further afield! We have SingFix for all singers and SingFix Pro for industry professionals. Read on for more information and register your interest below.
Kate Batter
KATE is a West End vocal coach, vocal workshop leader and a qualified Vocal Health First Aider. She is also the founder of South West London Music School, Sing Wimbledon.
With over 20 years of experience, Kate has taught students of all ages and abilities—from beginners discovering their voice to seasoned professionals preparing for auditions and performances.
Now based in Cambridge, she offers private lessons both online and in person in Cambridge and London.
Kate is also the Musical Director of the Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir in Cambridge. With over 120 members, the choir has performed at prestigious venues including Cadogan Hall and the Cambridge Corn Exchange, where they supported Gareth Malone on his UK tour Singalong-a-Gareth in 2023 and 2024.
A graduate of The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (formerly Birmingham School of Acting) with a first-class degree, Kate continued her training at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has since enjoyed a 15-year career as a professional actress in theatre and television, with credits including The Sound of Music and The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End, as well as Top Boy, Call the Midwife, and Emmerdale on television. Most recently, she played Polly Peachum in The Beggar’s Opera, touring some of Europe’s most stunning opera houses.
Kate’s teaching draws on her extensive training and professional career. She is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop their unique vocal sound. She has worked internationally as both a coach and performer, collaborating with actors and artists in the pop and rock industries to refine their vocal and performance techniques. She also regularly works with West End and screen actors in preparation for auditions and productions.

Emma Cremnitz
EMMA is a graduate of Drama Studio London, holding a postgraduate diploma in acting, with earlier training with LAMDA where she earned a diploma in acting.
A classically trained singer, she began her vocal journey with the Bel Canto tradition before branching into musical theatre and contemporary styles through the Estill method.
Today, her vocal approach is dynamic and versatile—drawing from a rich tapestry of techniques. Emma champions the belief that there is no singular path to vocal excellence, and that every singer’s journey is uniquely their own.
With over 15 years of professional performance experience, Emma has graced stages across the UK and the West End, and has made select appearances in film (with the curious omission of television—for now!).
Her extensive career on stage has equipped her with deep insight and practical knowledge, which she brings passionately to her teaching.
Emma has been nurturing performers for more than two decades, working with students of all ages and abilities. Her coaching has helped aspiring actors and singers gain professional roles in the West End, film, and television, and her students have secured places at prestigious drama schools including Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, ArtsEd, Performers College, East 15, and Rose Bruford.
Whether you're preparing for auditions, looking to strengthen your vocal range, or seeking to overcome technical barriers, Emma brings a rare combination of skill, intuition, and experience. Her teaching builds not only ability but confidence and authentic performance.
She is also a playwright.
