Singing with Kate!

KATE is the founder of Sing Wimbledon, vocal coach, LAMDA teacher and qualified Vocal Health First Aider.

​

Having graduated from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (formerly known as Birmingham School of Acting) with a first class degree and furthering her training at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Kate went on to work as a professional theatre and TV actress for the last 15 years performing in shows such as The Sound of Music and The Phantom of the Opera in London's West End and television productions Top Boy, Mr Selfridge and Doctors. Most recently, Kate played Polly Peachum in the Beggars Opera touring some of Europes most beautiful opera venues. 

​

Kate has been a vocal coach for over 15 years, teaching all ages and abilities from the beginner finding their voice to professionals working towards auditions and performances. 

​

For Kate, teaching is about combining her knowledge from training and ongoing career as an actress and sharing it with her students, loving to watch the confidence of her students grow and their voices develop. 

​

Kate has worked internationally as both an actress and a coach, working with actors and musical artists in the pop/ rock world on both vocal and performance technique. 

​

Kate has an 100% pass rate with ABRSM exams (grades 1-8 and diploma) and offers LCM and LAMDA tuition too. She is also very happy to help with drama school entry. 

 

Now based in Cambridge, Kate continues to see current students from a studio in Wimbledon but for online lessons, do get in touch.

Singing with Mira!

MIRA is a professional singer and actress and holds a BA and MA in Vocal Studies and Music Education from the Sibelius Academy as well as a Post Graduate Diploma and LRAM in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music.

​

Since graduating, Mira has performed in musicals and operas both in the UK as well as internationally such as playing Christine Daaé in the Norwegian Premiere of The Phantom of the Opera, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, Jill in Jack and the Beanstalk as well as understudying Christine in the original production of Love Never Dies in London's West End. Mira has also toured the world with crossover duo Opera Girls.

 

Mira has been teaching singing alongside her performing career for over 10 years and has frequently taught at both Guildford School of Acting and Mountview. She has also taught singing at various other schools such as Centre Stage Theatre Academy, and Kingston College.

 

Based in Barnes, Mira is able to offer both in person and online private tuition. She draws on her training and professional experience in helping students improve their singing technique, gain confidence, work on their performance as well as their acting through song. She is also well acquainted with drama school entry requirements and is happy to help students with audition prep for schools as well as other auditions. Mira enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities.

Mira can travel out to students homes if required (a small travel fee will apply).

Singing with Hugh!

HUGH graduated with a Masters in Voice from the Royal Academy of Music and a Bachelors in Music from King’s College, London.

​

Hugh is an experienced singing coach working with London Youth Conservatoire, teaching music at GCSE and A-Level and has run several choirs. With an ABRSM qualification in teaching, Hugh also offers piano and music theory lessons. 

 

Operatic experience includes Albert in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus (Clyde Opera), Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Rogue Opera), Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte (St. Paul’s Opera, Clyde Opera), Hyppolite in Rameau’s Hyppolite et Acrie (Woodhouse Opera), Valere in Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes (Benslow Music), Don Basilio in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro (Hampstead Garden Opera), Male Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia (Royal Academy of Music), Lysander in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream (Southgate Opera), Tamino in Mozart's The Magic Flute (Southgate Opera) and Pastore I in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Teatron Oneiron).

In concert, Hugh has worked with Dartington International Festival, Highbury Chamber Choir, St. Neott’s Choral Society, Waverley Singers, Penzance Choral Society, St. John’s, Wimbledon Choir and Scherzo Ensemble.

Based in Richmond, Hugh is happy to teach either from the comfort of your own home (additional travel fee) or from the music room in Wimbledon (please email for availability).

Singing with Harry!

​

HARRY is a professional singer, musician and actor based in London. Starting his professional training at the BRIT School of Performing Arts, he then went on to graduate in Musical Theatre from the Urdang Academy.

​

After graduating, Harry went on to work with various UK theatre companies including, UK Productions and Enchanted Entertainment, performing in a variety of stage productions across the country as both an actor and dancer. Harry has also worked as a lead vocalist for Viking Line Cruises. Alongside his theatre work, Harry has also worked as a recording vocalist and songwriter for a variety of UK artists and international music producers, whose credits include producing for artists such as, Whitney Houston, Jessie J, the Pussycat dolls, Brandy and Years and Years.

​

Harry has been a dedicated voice teacher for the past 5 years and has frequently taught at the D&B Academy of Performing Arts as well as other London based schools, including introducing musical theatre and voice to the Beckenham Ballet Academy. He has worked with some of the world’s leading voice professionals to further hone his craft and is currently studying under renown voice coach Justin Stoney, of the New York Voice Coaching School under his advance voice teacher’s mentorship programme.

 

Specialising in contemporary signing (pop, rock, R&B) and Musical Theatre, Harry enjoys working with singers of all ages and abilities, working on building not just technique and ability, but also confidence and musicality. Ensuring lessons are both relaxed and engaging Harry is happy to work toward singing exams, audition preparation, repertoire or singing just for fun!

AMY trained at The Royal Central school of speech and Drama graduating in BA Hons acting (Musical theatre). Since graduating she has worked professionally in theatre and appeared in the UK tour of Tom Gates, UK tour of David Walliams’ Billionaire boy, Italian tour of Piccadilly and at the Bolton Albert Halls.

Amy has a full enhanced DBS status, and multiple years teaching experience from ages 5+.

RACHAEL is a professional actor and musician from Scotland. Following her early training at the prestigious Dance School of Scotland, Rachael graduated in 2015 from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, earning her BA in Musical Theatre.

 

Since graduating, Rachael has performed across the UK in musicals and plays including; Little Women (Watford Palace Theatre and Manchester HOME),To the Bone, Brief Encounter, Gypsy,

Noises Off, A Christmas Carol (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Sunshine of Leith (Capital Theatres), Brilliance (Farham Maltings), and Son of a Preacher Man (Dusty Touring Ltd).

Singing with Rachael!

​

Rachael has been teaching singing and musicianship alongside her performing career from the very beginning. Her students have ranged in age and ability, from absolute beginners, to those auditioning for or currently studying at drama school, to professional singers. Passionate about this work, Rachael creates a nurturing environment in her lessons where mistake are encouraged, judgement is left at the door and finding joy in your work is the ultimate goal. 

 

Based in Barnes, Rachael is happy to teach from the comfort of your own home or at the studio in Wimbledon.

Singing with Francesca!

FRANCESCA is a classical singer; she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and is currently sitting for a Master of Music. Apart from London, Francesca has also studied in Itay, Austria & New York with various vocal professors, from whom she gathered vast amount of knowledge about the vocal performance and vocal pedagogy. 

 

Francesca has a vast performance experience, through a vast range of recitals, concert performances and operatic roles, in venues throughout the UK and Overseas in Carnegie Hall in New York. Operatic roles include The Gingerbread Witch in Hansel & Gretel (Humperdinck), Baba in Turn of The Screw (Stravinski), Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte (Mozart), Third Lady in The Magic Flute (Mozart),

​

Patrizia in STROZZI! (Barbara Strozzi) and Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart). Francesca also has a background in dance, having trained in Ballet for fifteen years, musical theatre and acting for screen.

​

Throughout her time in London, Francesca has been teaching voice on individual basis, alongside her studies and performances. Her lessons focus on vocal technique, muscle conditioning, breath management, storytelling, interpretation and languages including Italian, French & German. She is keen to help students prepare for their graded singing exams, Trinity College & ABRSM, as well as prepare for auditions the student might wish to undertake. Her lessons are suitable for all levels and for both children and adults. 

 

Based in London, Francesca is happy to teach from the music room in Wimbledon or at the Student’s home (A small travel fee will apply).

Speech and language Therapy with Elissa!

ELISSA is a contemporary singer, teacher and practising speech and language therapist.  As a working singer herself, Elissa understands the unique demands placed on singers and is passionate about supporting clients with their vocal health and performance goals. Originally from Australia, Elissa graduated from Griffith University in 2019 with a Master's of Speech Pathology and works with clients with diverse communication and swallowing needs in public and private health sectors. She has experience working within a laryngology clinic providing individualistic, tailored advice to professional singers and actors who require rehabilitation following vocal injury or want help building stamina leading up to performances.

Elissa has a Bachelor of Music (Jazz and Popular Music) and a Master’s in Music Studies (Vocal Pedagogy) and regularly performs at venues in a duo, and jazz and pop ensembles. She has worked at institutions including JMC academy coaching tertiary contemporary singers in private lessons and providing group education. Passionate about continuing development, Elissa is a member of organisations including the Australian Voice Association (AVA), the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing (ANATS), the Laryngology Society of Australasia (LSA), and is registered with the HCPC and RCSLT. Recent highlights include presenting at the AVA and ANATS 2022 conferences in Sydney and Adelaide respectively.
