Back from the Beggars Opera European Tour!

Apologies for the delay since my last blog. As many of you know, I've been away on tour with 'The Beggars Opera' playing Polly Peachum. I spent the good part of the year living out of a suitcase touring around Europe but learning so much from working with the world famous 'Les Arts Florrisant' - the exceptional French Baroque orchestra. However, my wonderful students were very supportive and I did manage to continue teaching sporadically between venues. In the last year, there have been some wonderful exam results and exciting times for students.

Firstly, in April 2018 Mother and daughter A-team, Clare and Emily Barton took their grades 3 and 2 (respectively) and both achieved distinctions whilst Sofia Ross Petersen nailed a high merit in her grade 4. In June 2018 all students gained merits; Sophia Pant (grade 3), Melody Wilson (grade 4), Martha Khurshid (grade 4) and George Huxtable (grade 3). To finish off the year, Kate Homan did it for Team Adults and got an almighty 135 (distinction) in her grade 5. Really well done to all! If 2019 is half as good, I'll be thrilled!
