Congratulations to all our students in achieving their ABRSM singing grade results! From grade 1 all the way up to grade 8, all received results they should be thoroughly proud of! A special mention to Kate Vlietstra who achieved a whopping 142/150 for her Grade 8 Musical Theatre exam - BRAVO!
Since COVID, with lessons forced to move online, ABRSM now offer their 'performance based' exams which involve pre-recording a recital of 4 songs in one continuous take and submitting. It's a fantastic way to encourage students' musicianship, hosting their own recital with more emphasis on the story-telling, performance side. We had about a 50/50 split of in-person exams vs. the performance based exams as each student has different preferences.
